Crimewatch: Robbery at Gunpoint on Anderson Last Night

Yikes! KTVU brings the details about a gunpoint robbery that happened last night:

The robbery was reported at about 10:55 p.m. near the intersection of Anderson Street and Eugenia Avenue.

The 28-year-old victim was getting out of her car when two men approached her, according to police.

One pulled out a handgun and demanded the woman’s property and she complied, handing over her purse, an iPod, a cellphone and cash, police said.

The men ran away and had not been found as of this morning.

The victim was not injured in the robbery.

The SFPD is looking for the baddies, so if you have any intel, please call the anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.

  1. I learned a lesson when my cell phone was stolen. Leave it on and let the police or your cell phone provider locate it with GPS instead of being in a hurry to shut it off. Amazingly people will answer a cell phone they have stolen. Also, the ipod usually comes with a locate feature so you can wipe out all of your info and/or locate it.

  2. Jeebus, when I saw the headline, I assumed we were talking about the towards-the-freeway section of Bernal, but I always assumed I was completely safe walking up around near the summit. Lesson learned.

  3. Seems like there’s been a lot of crime on or close to Eugenia. Perhaps the cops need to stake this street out.

  4. I’ve heard of similar tales on same street. Glad to see the victim was unhurt. Seems giving up your belongings is the safest route when accosted at gunpoint.

  5. Oh wow. I walk by that area all the time with my dog. Would have never thought it was a place you could get robbed.

  6. It heats up around Eugenia every summer (no pun intended). The Bernal Safe Yahoo Group spikes with these types of reports every July and August.

  7. Sometimes a little nervous nellie? Sheesh. It’s becoming an online process group. Can’t stand it when people post about cries in the night, etc. We live in a city for Christ’s sake!

    • ha ha, I’m following the succulent plants theft ring on the group! Seriously though, it has good data in amongst the some of the more shrill posts, like when it provided lots of information that couldn’t be found elsewhere about the murder of the owner of Nasser market a couple years ago or some of the stuff around the Holly Court shootings recently.
