Did you loan a lovely wooden sideboard to Red Hill Books many many moons ago? If so, they would like to return it to you:
We are in the thick of renovations here at Red Hill and have run into an issue. There is a beautiful sideboard that sat behind the counter here for the better part of ten years. Our owner remembers a neighbor generously lending it to us, but cannot recall which of our wonderful community members. Would you mind posting the attached photograph with a plea for the owner to come by the store? Because space is limited, we can really only manage to keep the fixture for a week, at which point it is up for grabs!

I want that! Are you going to take names of interested neighbors? Auction it off? Raffle? Put names in a hat? Or let me have it since I am first to reply? 🙂 It would go perfectly in my dining room, I have a built-in hutch in the kitchen with many of the same details. Been looking for something like this! I know the perfect guy to fix it up, too.
If no one claims it, I will…
I’ll wrestle you for it, Jeffrey!
How about we all roshambo for it?
I’d love to have it, so there’s bids. Let those if us who are interested know whether it’s up for sale. Thanks!
also quite interested!! lovely.
Let’s donate it to Officer Falvey. : )
I have an idea. Lets take it up to the thirteenth floor and drop it on Jeff’s head while he stands waiting to catch it with his mouth. Consensual of course. I would never want it otherwise. It is time for him to show his dad, that capitalism and braces do not address matters of the heart. If he doesn’t have the balls to spurn his fathers money, he will never be a man.
Any updates on this? Did the original owner claim it or is it still available? I called and left them a message, no call back….
Here’s an update: it is mine now! Muahahah! (wrings hands menacingly)
