Gettin’ Real in the Good Life Parking Lot

Okay, so, in a strictly geographical sense, this hilarious video isn’t about Bernal Heights. After all, like, we don’t even have a Whole Foods yet! (Editor’s Note: WHEW!)

But psychographically, the video hits close to home. Dawg, this is the big Bernalood life here at the intersection of urban grit, contemporary hip-hop, and organic produce! And besides… as @smurfcore points out:

She’s totally right. Replace “Whole Foods” with “Good Life” and the song raps just as real, yo.

  1. A little local not-so-neighborly behavior in the Good Life parking lot yesterday afternoon: a guy standing in front of a woman’s car, barring her from parking in the Good Life parking space closest to Cortland. He had abandoned his car in the middle of Andover, and claimed she had cut him off from the space he had been waiting for. She was not moving. Another guy kept asking everyone to try to get along (thank you!) and offered up his parking space, but that didn’t diffuse the situation. Had to get home to pick up baby, but hoping it all ended with everyone happy with a parking spot.

    • Well, if there’s one thing the video makes clear, its that there seems to be some sort of correlation between a passion for organic foods and a tendency toward douchebaggy parking behavior.
