In an Earthquake, Bernal Heights Will Rock; Less Likely to Shake

Let us now pause to appreciate some encouraging seismic prognostication news from the Association of Bay Area Governments: In a major earthquake, Bernal Heighs is likely to fare reasonably well compared to much of the rest of the city, thanks to our decreased “shaking potential.”

Yay! So here’s to one more reason to love our hearty chert.

  1. Wow, I am surprised that the sunset + Richmond are worse off than the Marina!

  2. Serpentine rocks!
Original marshland (Farmers Market, old Sun Valley Dairy) will be lots of fun.

  3. Go chert! We should all be safe so long as we’re at home and not at the Farmers’ Market or visiting most other parts of SF or, god forbid, Oakland (unless you happen to be in transit and on Yerba Buena Island when the shaking starts).
