There are many things to love about this photograph, but what I love most is that at first glance, it’s pretty much impossible to tell if the image was captured in 1950 — or just last week.

another thing that’s different now than in 1950 is that there really weren’t any street/sidewalk trees back then.
i live at this corner and unless everything is painted the same color then as it is now it is clearly 2011. and i know the building i live in has been painted a different color in the time span i live here.
