Neighbor Esther has been monitoring the progress of a mourning dove that has been nurturing eggs in a planter box outside her Wool Street home:
She laid two eggs in our planter box, between the sage and the oregano. Hope the neighbor’s cat doesn’t get her!
Suffice to say, by now the dove is probably well-seasoned.

cat got ours. expect it. they are dumb birds. so dumb. they built a nest in the worst location at our home and as expected, my cat got the babies. they don’t build much of a nest, so returning them is not always an option
